John 12:24

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? "Father, save me from this hour"? But for this purpose I have come to this hour.

What this passage tells us is that the anarchist must face up to the challenge of opposing the state. Everyone is scared to be the first one to do something. Everyone wants to stay in close to the herd and have someone else venture forward. With risk comes reward, but sometimes also failure.

Let me repeat that, with risk comes reward, but sometimes also failure. If I was to start a business, it might be wonderfully successful and I could become a rich man. However I could also lose everything I had and become destitute if the business didn't succeed. What Jesus is telling us here is that we must accept the failure of such a business as a good thing. That's crazy isn't it? The business must fail in order to create a successful business. It's double talk.

What people don't recognize though is that the world is illusion and deception at this moment. Success in todays world is actually failure in gods world. Therefore in order to succeed in gods world means that we must fail in todays world. This sounds scary and it's why it's such a challenge for anyone to change their circumstance with lots of things in life. We must willingly accept failure as our goal.

For myself, I fear giving away all my wealth. For if I give everything away, then who will care for me? I will be penniless and homeless. Jesus however said that god will provide for us, just like he provides for the birds and the foxes, so what should I have to fear?

What I fear is that I will lose my place in mankind's world, not gods world. Mankind's world requires money and wealth. God's world is just simple existence. I like to have mankind's world, so I fear losing mankind's world. It is this death and sacrifice that Jesus talks about. If I ever hope to live in god's world, then I must die in mankind's world. I simply can not serve two masters.
